Aqueduct Racetrack

Aqueduct — "the Big A" — is New York's winter racing home, best known for the inner track that hosts cold-weather cards on a one-mile dirt oval. Winter racing here can produce pronounced surface and rail biases depending on weather and track maintenance, and reading the day's bias early — whether speed is holding or the rail has gone dead — is frequently the single most important handicapping input on a given card.

The meet bridges the gap when Belmont and Saratoga are dark and features the Wood Memorial, a major Derby prep, in the spring.
