February 18, 2026 | Multi-Track Highlights
Welcome to your Wednesday war plan. Seven tracks, dozens of races, and we’ve combed through the numbers to bring you the best action from coast to coast. Grab your coffee, load up your accounts, and let’s get to work.
Early Card — Mahoning Valley Race Course
Race 1 | 12:15 PM ET | 8 Furlongs Dirt | Claiming $10,000 | Fillies & Mares
The Shoe Lady (post 2) is the class of this small field and should be tough to catch at a mile on the dirt. She projects as the best horse here with a solid edge in the non-speed categories — pace, connections, and form cycle all favor her. Goshen (post 5) is the one to use underneath, with Redwhiteandtacos (post 3) as a price player for exotic depth.
💰 Bet: The Shoe Lady to win. Exacta box 2-5, with a small saver keying 2 over 5 and 3 in the trifecta.
Race 5 | 2:07 PM ET | 8 Furlongs Dirt | Claiming $7,500
Tetched (post 9) towers over this field on paper and has the intangibles to back it up — trainer A. Farrior ships this one in with purpose, and the Factors profile is the strongest in the race by a wide margin. Valid Connection (post 4) and All My Life (post 8) offer some value in the underneath slots at 6/1 and 10/1 respectively.
💰 Bet: Tetched to win and place. Trifecta key: 9 over 4, 8, 1 over all.
Race 6 | 2:35 PM ET | 6 Furlongs Dirt | Claiming $10,000
A contentious race. Morethanreadyeddie (post 2) and Stormin’unclejack (post 7) project neck and neck at the top, but at 6/1 and 10/1 on the morning line, both offer far more value than the 3/1 shot Stomping Moon (post 9). Unpredictable Bay (post 4) and Ramsey (post 3) are right there too. This is a spread race if there ever was one.
💰 Bet: Skip the win bet. Play a trifecta box with 2, 7, 4, 9 ($.50 box = $12). Add 3 and 5 in superfecta wheels for a bigger payoff.
Afternoon Spotlight — Parx Racing
Race 1 | 12:05 PM ET | 8.5 Furlongs Dirt | Claiming $7,500
Coalville (post 8) stands out like a spotlight in a dark room. The projected speed figures are a clear cut above this group, and the overall handicapping profile — including pace, form, and connections — all point to trainer Santaella-Calderon having this one cranked up. At 5/2 on the morning line, the price isn’t huge, but the confidence level is.
💰 Bet: Coalville to win. Daily Double singles: key 8 in the first leg with 7 and 8 in Race 2.
Race 5 | 1:53 PM ET | 6 Furlongs Dirt | Claiming $5,000
Yo Yo Candy (post 6) is the top selection and figures to sit a good trip from the outside. Amazing Woo (post 5) has the best overall profile outside of speed and could outrun his 7/2 morning line. These two should battle it out, but Magicnthemoonlight (post 9) at 5/1 is dangerous if either of the top two bounce.
💰 Bet: Yo Yo Candy to win. Exacta: 6 with 5 and 9.
Race 9 | 3:41 PM ET | 6 Furlongs Dirt | Starter Optional Claiming $25,000
The best race on the Parx card. Chance (post 5) and Liberte de Bayeux (post 1) project identically at the top, but Liberte de Bayeux has the superior overall profile and trainer Ness has been razor sharp. Shadow Surge (post 2) — also from the Ness barn — adds another layer. This is a Ness barn exacta/trifecta play waiting to happen.
💰 Bet: Exacta box 1, 5. Trifecta: key 1 and 5 on top over 2, 6, 7. If feeling bold, Liberte de Bayeux to win at 7/2.
Turf and Sun — Tampa Bay Downs
Race 3 | 1:47 PM ET | 5.5 Furlongs Dirt | Claiming $5,000
Megan’s Honor (post 8) is the single best play on the entire Tampa card. The projected speed figure dwarfs the competition, and the overall profile is elite for this level — the non-speed numbers (a +9) are the best on the whole Tampa slate. Rider I.O. Rodriguez and trainer Becker have a horse sitting on a big effort.
💰 Bet: Megan’s Honor to win. Use as a Pick 5 single in the first leg if available.
Race 4 | 2:17 PM ET | 6 Furlongs Dirt | Claiming $5,000 | Fillies & Mares
Opposite the Crowd (post 5) is 4/5 on the morning line for a reason — the projection and profile are far and away the best in this field. The +10 non-speed score is massive, suggesting everything from pace to connections favors her. Not much value on the win end, but she’s a rock-solid multi-race key.
💰 Bet: Use Opposite the Crowd as a Pick 3/Pick 4 single. If playing the race alone, exacta key 5 over 1 and 4.
Race 6 | 3:17 PM ET | 7 Furlongs Dirt | Claiming $10,000
Coalminer’s Kitten (post 2) projects best and carries a solid profile, but at 2/1 the value sits underneath. American Unity (post 6) at 9/2 has the second-best overall profile in the race (a +4 on non-speed factors) and could offer some upset juice. Smart Striker (post 4) rounds out the top tier.
💰 Bet: Coalminer’s Kitten to win. Exacta: 2 with 6. Trifecta: 2 over 6, 4, 5 over all.
Stakes Spotlight — Turf Paradise
Race 7 | 4:05 PM MT | 8 Furlongs Turf | Luke Kruytbosch Overnight Stakes | 3-Year-Olds
The feature race out in Phoenix. Secret Insanity (post 9) projects as the best of this group on both speed and overall profile, but at 9/2 on the morning line, this is a terrific price for the top horse. Independence Rise (post 6) for trainer Diodoro is the logical main threat, and Need the Purse (post 4), also from the Diodoro barn, gives that outfit two shots. Watch for Tapbyangels (post 5) at 12/1 as a sleeper who isn’t too far off on the numbers.
💰 Bet: Secret Insanity to win and place. Exacta: 9 over 6, 4, 5. Trifecta key: 9 over 6, 4, 5 over all.
Evening Action — Turfway Park
Race 3 | 6:55 PM ET | 6.5 Furlongs Synthetic | Allowance Optional Claiming $62,500
The marquee race at Turfway and the highest-class contest on the entire Wednesday card. Built (post 2) projects best for rider Loveberry and trainer Catalano, with the highest speed projection and the strongest overall profile in a loaded field. At 4/1 on the morning line, there’s real value here against a deep group. Run Carson (post 9) is the clear second choice, while Mischievous Rogue (post 8) at 10/1 is a live longshot.
💰 Bet: Built to win. Exacta: 2 over 9, 8, 1. Trifecta: 2 over 8, 9, 1, 6 over all.
Race 8 | 9:25 PM ET | 8 Furlongs Synthetic | Maiden Special Weight | $100,000 Purse
A big-money maiden race. Up Country (post 7) and Sumood (post 9) — both trained by B.P. Walsh — project head and shoulders above this field. Up Country gets the slight edge in the speed projection, while Sumood carries the slightly better overall profile and is the 9/5 morning line favorite. This looks like a Walsh barn exacta, with Mr Bobo (post 1) the best of the rest at a distant third.
💰 Bet: Exacta box 7 and 9. Trifecta: 7, 9 over 7, 9, 1 over all. If singling, Up Country at 3/1 offers better value than the favorite.
Race 9 | 9:55 PM ET | 6 Furlongs Synthetic | Allowance Optional Claiming $40,000
My Own (post 9) is the night’s standout at Turfway. The projected speed figure is elite, and the +6 non-speed profile is the best in the race by a significant margin. Rider F. De La Cruz and trainer E.N. Foster are a potent combination. Where Ya At Vince (post 2) is the clear second call, with Swill (post 7) and Smokey Smokey (post 4) bunched right behind.
💰 Bet: My Own to win. Pick 3 key: 9 in Race 9 with your best in Races 10. Exacta: 9 over 2, 7, 4.
Night Owls — Charles Town
Race 7 | 9:49 PM ET | 6.5 Furlongs Dirt | Allowance | Statebred
Zachamundo (post 4) is the single most dominant horse on any card tonight. The projected speed figure towers over this field, the overall profile is the best in the race, and the 1/5 morning line tells you everything. Trainer Runco sends two (he also has Annapolis Road at post 2), but Zachamundo is a virtual standout. The only play here is underneath for second and third.
💰 Bet: Don’t fight the chalk. Zachamundo to win. Key 4 on top of trifectas over 2, 3, 5 for second and third.
Race 8 | 10:17 PM ET | 6.5 Furlongs Dirt | Starter Optional Claiming $10,000
Tap in Formation (post 6) closes the night as the top pick. The +8 non-speed score is terrific, suggesting trainer Farrior has this one perfectly placed. Absolute Grit (post 3) and Tour Guide (post 9) — both projecting close in speed — offer exacta and trifecta depth.
💰 Bet: Tap in Formation to win. Exacta: 6 over 3, 9. Trifecta: 6 over 3, 9, 5 over all.
