Aces and Races: Sunday Mega-Card Feature

Sunday, February 22, 2026 | Multi-Track Special

From the cold mid-Atlantic to the warm Florida sun, eleven tracks are firing today. We’ve combed through the full card and pulled out the spots where the numbers are screaming. Buckle up — this is a big one.

Aqueduct | New York

Race 1 — 6.5 Furlongs on Dirt | Claiming $20,000 | Fillies & Mares 4 & up | Post: 1:10 PM ET

Proud Foot (PP 4, 8/5) is the clear top choice here, showing the strongest projected figures in the field by a comfortable margin and carrying a positive Factors score of +3. She’s the one to beat. Irish Jackson (PP 3, 6/1) and Despo’s Dream (PP 5, 1/1) are virtually even on projected speed but both carry negative Factors scores, suggesting some vulnerability despite the numbers. Despo’s Dream opens as the morning line favorite, making her an interesting fade candidate.

Bet: Win/Place on Proud Foot. Exacta 4 over 3, 5.

Race 4 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Claiming $20,000 | 4 & up | Post: 2:42 PM ET

Stewie (PP 4, 2/1) tops the field with the best projected speed figure and a strong Factors score of +4 — the highest in the race. Looms Boldly (PP 3, 5/2) is second on both counts and makes a natural backup. The rest of the field drops off meaningfully. This looks like a two-horse race on paper.

Bet: Exacta 4/3 and 3/4 (box). Win bet on Stewie.

Race 7 — 8 Furlongs on Dirt | Claiming $100,000 | 4 & up | Post: 4:14 PM ET

The classiest race on the Aqueduct card. Wild Vine (PP 2, 4/1) projects significantly faster than the field with a figure well clear of the competition and a Factors score of +3. Bramito (PP 4, 5/1) and Wynstock (PP 5, 5/2) are dead even on projected speed behind him, making the second and third spots wide open. Bourbon Day (PP 3, 3/1) opens as second choice on the morning line but projects fifth in the field — potential value play against him.

Bet: Win on Wild Vine. Trifecta 2 / 4,5 / 4,5,8.

Fair Grounds | New Orleans

Race 2 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Maiden Claiming $30,000 | 3 & up | Post: 1:15 PM CT

Calling On Heaven (PP 7, 9/5) stands out dramatically here — not just the top projected speed figure, but a remarkable Factors score of +8, the highest by far in this field. That combination of raw speed projection and strong supporting factors is exactly the type of horse to get behind confidently. Sully (PP 4, 2/1) is a clear second. The rest fall off sharply.

Bet: Win on Calling On Heaven. Exacta 7/4.

Race 4 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Claiming $30,000 | Fillies & Mares 3 & up | Post: 2:15 PM CT

Another standout spot at Fair Grounds. The Great Maybe (PP 1, 3/1) projects more than 10 points faster than the second horse in the field and carries a Factors score of +8. The gap between her and the rest of this field is enormous. Danzig’s Dora (PP 8, 5/1) is the distant second choice on the figures.

Bet: Single on The Great Maybe to win. Exacta 1/8,3.

Race 6 — 8.32 Furlongs on Dirt | Starter Allowance | 4 & up | Post: 3:15 PM CT

Interlock Empire (PP 4, 3/1) leads this field with solid projected figures and a Factors score of +1. The morning line agrees with the numbers here. Django (PP 3, 9/2) and White Whale (PP 1, 5/1) make logical exacta partners for coverage behind the top choice. Golddiggendevil (PP 5, 4/1) opens as a competitive price but carries a -6 Factors score — perhaps shorter than he should be.

Bet: Exacta 4 / 3, 1, 2.

Fonner Park | Nebraska

Race 5 — 4 Furlongs on Dirt | Starter Optional Claiming $10,000 | Fillies & Mares 3 & up | Post: 3:18 PM CT

Honeyfromthesouth (PP 7, 8/1) tops the field with the strongest projected speed figure, though she opens at a generous morning line price. Hurricane Lassie (PP 3, 2/1) is the morning line choice and is close on the figures with a positive Factors score of +3. Dodgeball (PP 4, 5/1) hangs just behind. At 8/1, Honeyfromthesouth represents real value if the figures hold.

Bet: Win on Honeyfromthesouth. Exacta 7/3,4.

Race 6 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Starter Optional Claiming $10,000 | Fillies & Mares 3 & up | Post: 3:45 PM CT

Lady of Devon (PP 6, 4/1) leads this field and pairs that top speed projection with the highest Factors score in the race at +8. Marvelous Lady (PP 2, 3/1) is the second-best and makes a sensible exacta partner. Misty Mood (PP 3, 5/2) opens as the second choice on the morning line but is outscored on both metrics — potential fade.

Bet: Win on Lady of Devon. Exacta 6/2.

Gulfstream Park | Florida

Race 7 — 5 Furlongs on Synthetic | Claiming $10,000 | 4 & up | Post: 3:19 PM ET

One of the most dominant single-horse numbers on the entire multi-track card. High Limit Room (PP 1, 9/5) posts a projected speed figure of 91 — six points clear of second-place Readier (PP 10, 4/1) — while also carrying the best Factors score in the race at +10. That combination is elite. The morning line makes him the favorite and the numbers agree emphatically.

Bet: Win on High Limit Room. Exacta 1/10,2.

Race 9 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Allowance Optional Claiming $25,000 | 4 & up | Post: 4:19 PM ET

Mish (PP 8, 3/1) and Elnajd (PP 6, 2/1) run 1-2 on projected figures with Factors scores of +3 and +4 respectively. This is a quality race and both deserve respect. Mish has a slight edge in projected speed while Elnajd opens as the morning line favorite. Long Pour (PP 3, 15/1) is quietly interesting — third on the figures with a +2 Factors score at a very generous price.

Bet: Exacta 8/6 and 6/8. Win on Mish. Longshot: Long Pour to show.

Sam Houston Race Park | Texas

Race 3 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Allowance | Fillies & Mares 3 & up | Post: 1:54 PM CT

Naval Woman (PP 4, 9/5) leads this field with a projected figure of 79 and a Factors score of +4. Chief Lady (PP 6, 5/2) is a close second on both counts with a +3 Factors score and virtually identical figures. These two appear to be well clear of the rest of the field. Reasonable morning line prices on both.

Bet: Exacta 4/6 and 6/4. Win on Naval Woman.

Race 7 — 8.5 Furlongs on Turf | Sunlit Song Turf Stakes | Statebred 4 & up | Post: 3:42 PM CT

A stakes race and the marquee event at Sam Houston today. Colonel Yorke (PP 5, 2/1) is a standout — best projected speed figure and a Factors score of +10, the highest single Factors score we’ve seen across any race on this card. He opens as the morning line favorite and the numbers strongly support that position. Proven Advocate (PP 1, 7/2) and Silver Assassin (PP 2, 8/1) fill out the top three on figures.

Bet: Win on Colonel Yorke. Exacta 5/1,2. Silver Assassin is a live longshot for the trifecta.

Laurel Park | Maryland

Race 2 — 7 Furlongs on Dirt | Claiming $7,500 | Fillies & Mares 4 & up | Post: 12:28 PM ET

Enigmatic (PP 6, 8/5) tops the field cleanly with a projected figure of 75 and a standout Factors score of +8. The morning line makes her the favorite and the case is well-supported by the numbers. Watch Your Tone (PP 3, 5/2) is the only other horse within reasonable range. The rest fall well back.

Bet: Win/Place on Enigmatic. Exacta 6/3.

Race 8 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Allowance Optional Claiming $40,000 | Fillies & Mares 4 & up | Post: 3:26 PM ET

Grayson’s Girl (PP 3, 9/5) is another dominant figure horse — a projected speed figure of 90, well clear of the second horse, paired with a Factors score of +6. Tap Dancin Cowgirl (PP 1, 7/2) and Kilo Road (PP 2, 5/1) fill out the top three on figures and represent logical exotics partners.

Bet: Win on Grayson’s Girl. Exacta 3/1,2. Trifecta 3/1,2/1,2,5.

Oaklawn Park | Arkansas

Race 4 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Starter Allowance | 4 & up | Post: 2:03 PM CT

Poppa Echo (PP 5, 2/1) leads this quality field with the highest projected speed figure and a Factors score of +4. He’s the class of this spot and the morning line correctly identifies him as the top choice. Miracle Worker (PP 1, 8/1) is second on the figures and offers value at the price. Timing Difference (PP 4, 5/2) opens second on the morning line but has a -6 Factors score — a potential false favorite situation.

Bet: Win on Poppa Echo. Exacta 5/1. Longshot: Miracle Worker to place.

Race 7 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Allowance Optional Claiming $125,000 | 3-year-old Fillies | Post: 3:35 PM CT

The premier race on the Oaklawn card today. Tiz in Sight (PP 4, 5/2) leads the figures with a projected speed rating of 87 and the strongest Factors score in the race at +6. Color Comin’ In (PP 5, 3/1) is a strong second with a +4 Factors score. Our Two Girls (PP 6, 2/1) opens as the morning line favorite but projects third on speed with a -2 Factors score — she may be vulnerable at a short price.

Bet: Win on Tiz in Sight. Exacta 4/5. Trifecta 4/5/6,7.

Race 8 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Allowance Optional Claiming $62,500 | Fillies & Mares 4 & up | Post: 4:07 PM CT

A deep, quality field. Mendela (PP 8, 3/1) leads with a figure of 94 and a Factors score of +2. Queen’s Martini (PP 7, 5/2) is a close second with a -1 Factors score. Letta’s Legacy (PP 9, 5/1) rounds out the top three. This is a competitive race where the top three are relatively close — exotics are the play.

Bet: Exacta 8/7,9. Trifecta 8/7,9/7,9,1.

Santa Anita Park | California

Race 7 — 8 Furlongs on Turf | Pasadena Stakes | 3-year-olds | Post: 3:37 PM PT

The featured stakes event at Santa Anita. Greenwich Village (PP 2, 3/1) leads the field with a projected speed figure of 82 and a Factors score of +5. Later Than Planned (PP 5, 4/1) is right behind at 80 with a +2 score, and Sammy Davis (PP 4, 9/2) rounds out a strong top three. The morning line spread is very reasonable and this looks like a genuine three-horse race.

Bet: Win on Greenwich Village. Exacta 2/5,4. Trifecta 2/5,4/5,4,6.

Race 9 — Approx. 6.5 Furlongs on Turf | Allowance | Fillies & Mares 4 & up | Statebred | Post: 4:37 PM PT

Christel Clean (PP 6, 4/1) leads the field with a projected figure of 79 and a remarkable Factors score of +8. Long Mayshe Reign (PP 8, 2/1) opens as the morning line favorite and is very close on projected speed with a Factors score of +5. These two look like the class of the field. The gap back to third is meaningful.

Bet: Exacta 6/8 and 8/6. Win on Christel Clean at the price.

Sunland Park | New Mexico

Race 5 — 6.5 Furlongs on Dirt | Claiming $5,000 | 4 & up | Post: 2:09 PM MT

Third Street (PP 4, 7/2) leads this field with a strong figure of 81 and a Factors score of +8. Bettor Trip Nick (PP 1, 9/2) is right behind at 79 with a Factors score of +6. Both figures and supporting factors put these two well ahead of the field. An excellent exacta opportunity.

Bet: Exacta 4/1 and 1/4. Win on Third Street.

Race 7 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Allowance | 3 & up | Post: 3:04 PM MT

Stonehenge (PP 4, 2/1) is the standout play at Sunland today — a projected figure of 85, well clear of second-place All That Glory (PP 7, 10/1), and a Factors score of +10. That Factors number ties Colonel Yorke at Sam Houston for the best on the card today. He’s correctly installed as the morning line favorite and the numbers strongly support a confident play.

Bet: Win on Stonehenge. Exacta 4/7,3.

Tampa Bay Downs | Florida

Race 1 — 6 Furlongs on Dirt | Maiden Claiming $25,000 | 4 & up | Post: 12:30 PM ET

North Ship (PP 4, 6/5) opens as a heavy favorite and the projected figures back it up — a figure of 82, a full 17 points clear of the second horse in the field, plus a Factors score of +5. He should go off at a short price, but the gap between him and the rest is legitimately large. This may be a straight win bet situation only.

Bet: Win on North Ship. Exacta 4/3,1.

Race 9 — 8 Furlongs on Turf | Allowance Optional Claiming $100,000 | 4 & up | Post: 4:28 PM ET

The day’s finale at Tampa Bay Downs is also the richest race on their card. Britain’s Kitten (PP 3, 9/2) tops the field with a projected figure of 97, well clear of Grounded (PP 2, 8/1) at 95 and Sherlock’s Jewel (PP 6, 3/1) at 93. The morning line makes Sherlock’s Jewel the favorite at 3/1, but Britain’s Kitten has both the top speed projection and a neutral Factors score. Grounded at 8/1 is an interesting value option — second on figures, positive Factors score.

Bet: Win on Britain’s Kitten. Exacta 3/2,6. Longshot: Grounded to place.
