Aces and Races — St. Patrick’s Day Mega-Card

Tuesday, March 17, 2026 | Four Tracks, One Big Day

Forget the green beer for a minute — the real luck of the Irish is hitting the windows on a loaded Tuesday card. We’ve got action running from Mahoning Valley to Parx, Turf Paradise out in Arizona, and Will Rogers Downs in Oklahoma. Here’s your one-stop guide to the best bets, best horses, and best spots to chase some green on St. Patrick’s Day.

Mahoning Valley Race Course (MVR) — Youngstown, Ohio

Post time: 12:15 PM ET | Dirt

Race 1 — Maiden Claiming $10,000 | 6 Furlongs

The morning line may favor Got That Drip (PP 6, 2/1), but the projection here belongs to Spiritual Man (PP 2, 9/2), who checks the most important boxes heading into this one. Enzito (PP 3, 7/2) draws the eye as a lively price with an apprentice bug, and could easily factor. Hot Wings (PP 4, 5/1) and Got That Drip sit clustered together in the projections — making this a tricky opener. Super Smooth (PP 1, 20/1) is a long shot for a reason.

Betting Suggestion: Win/Place Spiritual Man. Exacta: 2 over 3, 4, 6. Trifecta: 2 / 3, 4, 6 / 3, 4, 6.

Race 2 — Claiming $5,000 | 8 Furlongs

One horse stands well clear of the field here. Master of the Nite (PP 6, 5/2) projects as the dominant runner in this stretch out, with a significant edge over Washington’s Union (PP 1, 3/1) and Breezy Money (PP 3, 7/2). The morning line favorite Solomons Gold (PP 5, 8/5) looks vulnerable on the projections despite the short price. Digital Footprint (PP 2, 20/1) and Sky Key (PP 4, 15/1) are well behind.

Betting Suggestion: Win Master of the Nite. Exacta: 6 over 1, 3. Also worth a key on top in the trifecta: 6 / 1, 3, 5 / 1, 3, 5.

Race 3 — Claiming $10,000 | 8 Furlongs | Statebred

This one is about as lopsided as it gets. Docs Legend (PP 6, 4/5) is the morning line chalk and the projection leader by a wide margin over Dynamic Gift (PP 4, 5/2) and Donald’s Nation (PP 1, 7/2). The bottom of the field — Take Dictation (PP 5), Agnello City (PP 2), and Hidden Heart (PP 3) — are well behind. Fade the chalk only at your own risk.

Betting Suggestion: Use Docs Legend on top of all verticals. Exacta: 6 / 4, 1. Best value may be the trifecta with Docs Legend singled on top: 6 / 4, 1 / 4, 1, 5.

Race 4 — Maiden Special Weight | 5.5 Furlongs | Fillies & Mares

A competitive little maiden affair among the fillies. Betty Who (PP 4, 7/2) leads the projections, sitting right at the par with Hoof and Boots (PP 3, 4/5) just a point behind — yet Hoof and Boots is the morning line favorite. Cassy Cassy (PP 5, 4/1) and Lady Midshipman (PP 6, 12/1) are next. Hayami (PP 2, 6/1) is a first-time starter — unknown quantity, but keep an eye on her in the paddock. Last Call Jenna (PP 1, 20/1) is the likely trailer.

Betting Suggestion: Box exacta: 4, 3. Trifecta: 4, 3 / 4, 3, 5 / 4, 3, 5, 6. Sprinkle Hayami in the superfecta at a price.

Race 5 — Claiming $5,000 | 8 Furlongs

A wide-open claimers’ mile with several horses bunched in the projections. All My Life (PP 6, 6/1) tops the sheet and has the best supporting numbers heading into the race. Smash (PP 8, 5/2), Only Get’n Better (PP 7, 7/2), and Toast to Coast (PP 2, 3/1) are all within a whisker of each other in the projections. Ghost Bike (PP 5, 4/1) trails slightly. Royal Dragoon (PP 1) and Succession Gold (PP 4) are the deep closers you’d use only in exotic bottom slots.

Betting Suggestion: A wide race — play a trifecta using: 6 / 2, 7, 8 / 2, 7, 8, 5. The Pick 3 connecting Races 5-6-7 offers a nice sequence to attack.

Race 6 — Maiden Claiming $10,000 | 6 Furlongs | Statebred

Lordbetwentothorns (PP 3, 2/1) is a standout here — he leads the projections AND carries the highest supporting score of any horse in this field by a substantial margin. This is the kind of horse you circle. Counting On Clyde (PP 7, 5/2) is a fair second choice, with Dynamic Victory (PP 1, 8/1) and Triangulo Rojo (PP 2, 6/1) grouped together in the middle. Quality Kiss (PP 6, 7/2) is a slight morning line shortie but trails in the projections.

Betting Suggestion: Win/Place Lordbetwentothorns. Exacta: 3 / 7, 1, 2. Good single to use in the Pick 3 (Races 6-7-8).

Race 7 — Allowance | 6 Furlongs | Fillies & Mares | Statebred

A tightly contested allowance sprint for the ladies. Vesper Martini (PP 2, 2/1) holds the slimmest of edges over Secret Caller (PP 1, 5/2) and Sunny Lion (PP 4, 3/1), with all three within striking distance. Mamma in the Cloud (PP 5, 4/1) and Tier Ones Legacy (PP 3, 5/1) are the closers to the field. At 3/1, Sunny Lion could be the value play if the top two scramble.

Betting Suggestion: Exacta box: 2, 1. Add Sunny Lion in trifectas: 2, 1 / 2, 1, 4 / 1, 2, 4, 5.

Race 8 — Allowance Optional Claiming $40,000 | 8 Furlongs

The feature at MVR and it’s a genuine three-horse war at the top. Ekati’s Way (PP 4, 2/1) and Extradition (PP 1, 3/1) share the top projection, with Eddie M (PP 3, 5/2) just a point off the pace. All three are within one point of each other — this is a race to spread in the verticals. Couth (PP 6, 10/1), King Curlin (PP 5, 8/1), and Chiron (PP 2, 9/2) fill out the bottom.

Betting Suggestion: Exacta box: 4, 1, 3 (all combinations). Trifecta: 4, 1, 3 / 4, 1, 3 / 4, 1, 3, 6. At 5/2, Eddie M could be the play to win if you want a single.

Parx Racing (PRX) — Bensalem, Pennsylvania

Post time: 12:40 PM ET | Dirt

Race 1 — Claiming $7,500 | 6.5 Furlongs

Tojo’s Mojo (PP 8, 5/2) is the clear top projection and has the supporting numbers to back it up. Bad Advice (PP 5, 9/2), Bourbon Aficionado (PP 2, 5/1), and Cisco Kid (PP 6, 3/1) all project identically in the second tier — Cisco Kid at 3/1 may offer the best win value of that trio. Fazaro (PP 3) and Azure Lady (PP 4) trail. Back East (PP 1) and Onlygodcanjudgeme (PP 7) are well off the pace projection.

Betting Suggestion: Win Tojo’s Mojo. Exacta: 8 / 5, 6, 2. Trifecta: 8 / 5, 6, 2 / 5, 6, 2, 3.

Race 2 — Claiming $16,000 | 6 Furlongs

Easy Action (PP 3, 2/1) is a standout — projecting well above the par for the race and significantly clear of the field. Mac Daddy Too (PP 7, 4/1) is second and arguably the most interesting price to use underneath. The rest of the field — Nancy Made My Day (PP 4), Three Captains (PP 6), Mister Lincoln (PP 1), Midlaner (PP 2), and Shipman (PP 5) — are tightly bunched for the secondary spots.

Betting Suggestion: Single Easy Action on top. Exacta: 3 / 7, 4, 6. Trifecta: 3 / 7 / 4, 6, 1.

Race 5 — Maiden Claiming $15,000 | 6.5 Furlongs | 3-Year-Old Fillies

A bottom-end maiden sprint where J K Strong (PP 2, 5/2) leads the way with strong supporting numbers to complement her projection edge. Breezefromtheeast (PP 1, 7/2) is a legitimate second choice. Bulma (PP 8, 5/1) and Always in Play (PP 4, 6/1) round out the logical players. Hart of Coupella (PP 3, 15/1) is a first-time starter — unknown quantity. The bottom of this field trails considerably.

Betting Suggestion: Exacta: 2 / 1, 8, 4. Trifecta: 2 / 1, 8 / 1, 8, 4.

Race 6 — Claiming $7,500 | 6.5 Furlongs

A full, nine-horse field and a wide-open race. Carbonite (PP 4, 10/1) tops the projections at a juicy price and has good supporting numbers — circle this one. Capital Conquest (PP 8, 8/1) and Biagio (PP 3, 8/1) sit just behind in a cluster with Twentyeighttothree (PP 9, 4/1), who is the morning line choice but sits lower in the projections. Authentic Kingdom (PP 6, 9/2) is another logical contender. Adios Jersey (PP 1, 3/1) draws attention with the best supporting score in the field but a lower projection — could move up if the pace scenario sets up right.

Betting Suggestion: Strong value play — Win/Place Carbonite. Exacta: 4 / 8, 3, 9. Use Carbonite on top of the Pick 3 connecting into Races 7 and 8.

Race 8 — Starter Optional Claiming $20,000 | 8.32 Furlongs | Fillies & Mares

The best race on the Parx card. Pachelbel (PP 3, 5/2) absolutely dominates the projections, sitting well above the par for this race — and her supporting numbers are the best in the field. Lovely Charm (PP 4, 7/2) is a fair second choice. Golden Eib Micrphn (PP 6, 2/1) is the morning line favorite despite a lower projection — she may be a fade opportunity. Jess’s Moment (PP 5, 6/1) and Center Stage (PP 2, 5/1) fill the bottom of the vertical.

Betting Suggestion: Win Pachelbel. Exacta: 3 / 4, 6. Trifecta: 3 / 4, 6 / 4, 6, 5. Excellent single to anchor a Pick 3.

Race 9 — Allowance Optional Claiming $100,000 | 6 Furlongs | Fillies & Mares

The Parx feature and Alani (PP 3, 9/5) is a deserving favorite — she tops the projections well above the par and carries strong supporting numbers. Jeanne Marie (PP 5, 5/2) and Aoife’s Magic (PP 2, 4/1) both project identically behind her and present a genuine exacta battle for second. Disco Ebo (PP 4, 6/1) and Beach Daze (PP 6, 15/1) are the deep longshots. Carousel Queen (PP 1, 6/1) trails the field in the projections despite a fair price.

Betting Suggestion: Win Alani. Exacta: 3 / 5, 2. Trifecta: 3 / 5, 2 / 5, 2, 4.

Turf Paradise (TUP) — Phoenix, Arizona

Post time: 1:42 PM MT | Dirt & Turf

Race 2 — Claiming $4,000 | 5.5 Furlongs | Fillies & Mares

Classic American (PP 1, 3/1) takes the top spot here and has solid supporting numbers. Stormylux (PP 6, 5/1) is interesting — her supporting score is the best in the field, and she’s a fair price. Rose of Jericho (PP 7, 5/2) and Prettywittyandwise (PP 2, 8/5) trail slightly in the projections despite the latter being the morning line favorite. The bottom three — Bango’s Heat, Kamikaze Blue, and Prancipants — are well behind.

Betting Suggestion: Win Classic American. Exacta: 1 / 6, 7, 2. Consider a small win bet on Stormylux at 5/1.

Race 4 — Claiming $6,250 | 5.5 Furlongs | Fillies & Mares

Sing a Happy Song (PP 7, 4/1) leads the field in projections and carries the best supporting score in the race. Behind her, Aventapp (PP 6, 7/2), Flyin By (PP 2, 5/1), and Gi Gis Map (PP 1, 5/2) are all virtually tied for second. Gi Gis Map at 5/2 may be slightly undervalued. Minedandrefined (PP 5, 6/1) and the bottom two trail.

Betting Suggestion: Win Sing a Happy Song. Exacta: 7 / 6, 2, 1. Trifecta: 7 / 6, 2, 1 / 6, 2, 1, 5.

Race 6 — Claiming $8,500 | 8 Furlongs Turf

The lone turf race of the day across all four cards. Hot Legs Romolo (PP 3, 3/1) leads and projects just above par. Wine Empire (PP 4, 6/1) is an interesting price at second in the projections, making him a natural exacta target. Battle Cruiser (PP 2, 4/1), Sugar Buzz (PP 6, 9/2), and Run Bryce Run (PP 5, 10/1) follow. Bob’s Decision (PP 1, 5/2) is the morning line choice but projects lowest of the top tier — potential fade.

Betting Suggestion: Win Hot Legs Romolo. Exacta: 3 / 4, 2, 6. Trifecta: 3 / 4, 2 / 2, 4, 6.

Race 7 — Claiming $4,000 | 8 Furlongs

The biggest field on the Turf Paradise card — ten runners plus an also eligible. Street Humor (PP 1, 5/2) dominates this field in the projections and carries by far the highest supporting score in the race — a standout worth playing aggressively. Enos Slaughter (PP 6, 4/1) is the best second choice. Limited Heatwave (PP 8, 10/1), Hadlees Honor (PP 5, 5/1), and Benny Buckets (PP 10, 5/1) follow in a cluster.

Betting Suggestion: Win/Place Street Humor. Exacta: 1 / 6, 8, 5. Trifecta: 1 / 6, 8, 5 / 6, 8, 5, 10. Best single of the Turf Paradise card.

Will Rogers Downs (WRD) — Claremore, Oklahoma

Post time: 1:15 PM CT | Dirt

Race 1 — Maiden Claiming $7,500 | 6 Furlongs

A thin field of six at Will Rogers to open the card. Fully Funded (PP 2, 8/5) and Njustlikethat (PP 3, 9/5) share identical projections — this could come down to trip and pace. Diamonds R Lucky (PP 6, 12/1) has the only remotely interesting price. Tommy Kat (PP 1, 4/1), Tin Top (PP 4, 15/1), and Candy Cactus (PP 5, 5/1) trail.

Betting Suggestion: Exacta box: 2, 3. Use both in the Pick 3.

Race 3 — Claiming $15,000 | 5 Furlongs

Baseball Politics (PP 1, 8/5) is the standout here — projects above par and has the best supporting score in the race. Twentyone N Change (PP 2, 2/1) is a close second and stablemate to the top pick (both trained by M.W. Buehrer) — watch for trainer patterns. Elusive Power (PP 5, 3/1) and Night Passage (PP 4, 4/1) are next, with Sidetown (PP 3, 15/1) trailing badly.

Betting Suggestion: Win Baseball Politics. Exacta: 1 / 2, 5, 4. Interesting trainer angle with stablemates 1 and 2 — box them for safety.

Race 5 — Starter Allowance | 8 Furlongs

Prince Rama (PP 4, 7/2) leads the field convincingly with the best projection and supporting score. That’s Something (PP 1, 4/1) is a solid second choice. Bourbon Life (PP 6, 3/1) is the morning line second choice but sits third in the projections — possible slight fade. Our Dream Rye’d (PP 7, 6/1) and Vestes (PP 3, 6/1) follow. Shadowless (PP 5, 5/1) and Aspiring Comedian (PP 2, 8/1) are the back-end closers.

Betting Suggestion: Win Prince Rama. Exacta: 4 / 1, 6, 7. Trifecta: 4 / 1, 6 / 1, 6, 3, 7.

Race 8 — Allowance | 6 Furlongs | Statebred

The best race at Will Rogers Downs today. Big Kitty (PP 4, 8/5) leads the projections and has excellent supporting numbers. Slades Tank (PP 3, 7/2) is a strong second choice and could be the value play at the price. Washita Valley (PP 2, 5/2) is third in the projections and draws attention at a fair price. Mortify (PP 1, 4/1) and One Big Haas (PP 5, 12/1) trail, with Yougotthisjr (PP 6, 12/1) well behind.

Betting Suggestion: Win Big Kitty. Exacta: 4 / 3, 2. Trifecta: 4 / 3, 2 / 3, 2, 1. Best value in the race may be the exacta with Slades Tank on top at 7/2: 3 / 4, 2.

Race 9 — Maiden Special Weight | 6 Furlongs | Statebred

A wide-open 12-horse maiden to close out the Will Rogers card. Get Dreamy (PP 1, 2/1) is the clear top choice — best projection in the field and by far the highest supporting score. El Protonico (PP 3, 6/1) is an intriguing price for second. Cool Okie (PP 2, 5/1) also checks the right boxes. The rest of the field falls off a cliff — Love U Father, Luckyblingmountain, Son of Preacherman, Sandthefloor, Max’s Lucky Bling, Clay’s Worth, Pass the Roses, and Leavenodoubt are all long shots for a reason. Maximum Power (PP 12, 8/1) is a first-time starter.

Betting Suggestion: Win/Place Get Dreamy. Exacta: 1 / 3, 2. Use Get Dreamy as a single in any late Pick 3 or Pick 4 sequences.

Best Bets of the Day — Mega-Card Top Selections

  1. Lordbetwentothorns — MVR Race 6 (PP 3, 2/1) — Top projection, dominant supporting score, the standout of the entire MVR card.

  2. Easy Action — PRX Race 2 (PP 3, 2/1) — Projects well above par with nothing else close in the field.

  3. Pachelbel — PRX Race 8 (PP 3, 5/2) — Projects far above par at a fair price; the best single on the Parx card.
